The Evening Tribune is an American daily newspaper published weekday mornings and on Sundays (as The Spectator) in Hornell, New York.. In addition to the city of Hornell, the Tribune and Spectator circulate in several villages and towns of eastern Allegany County and western Steuben County, including Alfred, Almond, Andover, Angelica, Arkport, Canaseraga and Canisteo.
John married his first wife, Mary Woods Gansevoort, in Steuben County, New York on June 22, 1859. [6] Mary was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Ten Eyck Gansevoort of Bath, Steuben County, New York, and died October 24, 1871, in Corning. [7]

Bath National Cemetery is a United States National Cemetery located in the town of Bath, in Steuben County, New York. It encompasses 28.9 acres (117,000 m 2), and as of the end of 2005, had 13,048 interments.
Seeley was a member of the New York State Assembly (Steuben Co., 2nd D.) in 1911 and 1912; and was Chairman of the Committee on the Soldiers' Home in 1911. He was a member of the New York State Senate (43rd D.) in 1913 and 1914; and was Chairman of the Committee on Public Health. He was buried at St. Catherine's Cemetery in Addison, New York.
