Brandon (/ ˈ b r æ n d ə n /) is the second-largest city in the province of Manitoba, Canada.It is located in the southwestern corner of the province on the banks of the Assiniboine River, approximately 214 kilometres (133 mi) west of the provincial capital, Winnipeg, and 120 kilometres (75 mi) east of the Saskatchewan border.
Neelin Composite High School opened in January 1957. The school was named after Thomas Addison Neelin, the Superintendent of the Brandon Schools from 1924 to 1950. Comp. High, as it came to be known, offered an academic program of studies along with Industrial Vocational, Business Education and Occupational Entrance Courses.
