Northern Arizona University (NAU) is a public research university based in Flagstaff, Arizona, United States. [8] Founded in 1899, it was the final university established in the Arizona Territory. [9] It is one of the three universities governed by the Arizona Board of Regents and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. [10]
