Will Jackson (Robbie Magasiva) (seasons 1–8) is a correctional officer at Wentworth. Will is a former social worker who transferred to corrections. Will was married to the previous governor, Meg Jackson. After Meg was killed during a riot at the prison Will spiralled into a depression that he tried to cure with alcohol and drugs.
After Meg's death, her husband Will returns to work and puts pressure on Doreen to find out who killed his wife. Bea tries to contact her daughter, Debbie, however Harry keeps picking up and comes to visit her. The prisoners try to get information out of Liz, who is working with the officers to discover the identity of Meg's killer.
Will then is seen flirting with Meg and is caught by Matthew Fletcher (Aaron Jeffery). Will takes Bea out for a smoke when she is in solitary confinement. The episode ends with Will finding Meg dead and Bea covered in her blood. [3] Following Meg's death, Will was seen watching the interviews of the prisoners on his laptop.
Whilst in Wentworth she takes an interest in the social worker Phil Cleary who was dating Meg and sets her up to be raped. Mrs Adams, her grandmother visits her in Wentworth to reveal her true colours to Mrs Reynolds and her suspicions that the fire in which Angela's parents were killed was started deliberately.
At Wentworth, he enjoys the company of inmate Marilyn Mason and so finds reasons to prolong his work, with the pair stowing away for a number of romantic liaisons - notably up in the rec room roof during the riot of episodes 3-4 in which Meg Jackson's husband Bill is killed.
In The Long Game, Bea does her best to convince Bridget that she was drugged and that was the reason that she had a psychotic break. Alas Bridget doesn't believe her. Also Bridget learns that it was really Franky who killed Meg Jackson. Kim Chang accuses Bridget of having sex with Franky. [9]
