Wally was the 2011 All Star Game Mascot Home Run Derby Champion. Wally was ranked fifth on the New York Post's list of the greatest mascots in sports in April 2012. Wally wore a beard for the World Series victory parade on November 2, 2013, in reference to the long beards grown by many Red Sox players during the postseason that year.
