The Trident is a restaurant in Sausalito, California, opened in 1966 as a bar-restaurant-music venue by the Kingston Trio. It is noted for its psychedelic murals dating to the 1960s, and its ties to the music counterculture of that era. Chez Piggy was opened in 1979 by Zal Yanovsky of the 1960s pop group The Lovin' Spoonful and his partner Rose Richardson, who were both avid travellers who enjoyed good food and wanted to create a restaurant reflecting those traits. [1] [3] The restaurant is located in a formerly abandoned limestone horse stable that was built in 1806.
In the 1970s, the Fullers moved west to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It was during this time that Fuller went into business with his son Stan Fuller, founding the first Earls restaurant in 1982 in Edmonton. [5] The chain quickly grew when the Fullers set up an Earls restaurant in their new home town of Vancouver in 1983.
