Brandywine Creek State Park is a public recreation area located three miles (4.8 km) north of Wilmington, Delaware along the Brandywine Creek. The state park is 951.33 acres (384.99 ha) in area and much of the park was part of a Du Pont family estate and dairy farm before becoming a state park in 1965.
Lincoln Park: 1,188 acres (481 ha) Chicago's largest city park. Located north of the Loop, this is one of the more distinctive parks in terms of geography, because while it is centrally located in the Lincoln Park community area, it spans many different neighborhoods on the north side. The Chicago Park District oversees more than 600 parks with over 8,800 acres (3,600 ha) of municipal parkland including their field houses, as well as 27 beaches, 78 pools, 11 museums, two world-class botanical conservatories, 16 historic lagoons and 10 bird and wildlife gardens that are found within the city limits.
