Going, Going... is the ninth studio album by English rock band The Wedding Present. It was released on 2 September 2016 in the UK and 2 December 2016 in the US, by their record label, Scopitones. It is a 20-song double multimedia album – each song has its own video included – that is also a travelogue about a journey across North America.
Hit Parade 2 is a compilation album by The Wedding Present released in January 1993. Having decided to release a limited edition single every month for all of 1992 (each featuring an original track on the A side and a cover version on the B side) the group subsequently compiled the songs as two LPs called Hit Parade 1 and Hit Parade 2.
The first proper album that The Wedding Present recorded for their new label was released in the same year 1989 and reunited them with producer Chris Allison. Bizarro ’s lyrical themes were largely the same as before and the songs featured the same three-chord structures, but its production values had increased due to a larger recording budget.
Wedding Album was initially released on Apple on 20 October 1969 in the US, [nb 1] and 7 November 1969 in the UK. The Wedding Present's discography consists of 54 singles, 17 extended plays, 9 studio albums, 24 live albums and 21 compilation albums.The band were formed in 1985 in Leeds, England by David Gedge, Peter Solowka and Keith Gregory.
The band ultimately chose to self-title the album after describing themselves as having to go "back to the basics", [14] though the record was referred to as "the Wedding Album" immediately upon release. [1] The album cover for Duran Duran was created by graphic designer Nick Egan, in collaboration with his assistant Eric Roinestad. [14]

The tracks were compiled as two LPs called Hit Parade 1 and Hit Parade 2 and re-released as a double CD in 2003 called The Hit Parade. The plan to release 12 singles in a year was an attempt to match Elvis Presley 's record of 12 top 40 singles in a year [ 1 ] which he had achieved in 1957. [ 2 ]
