An early version of the Edge 540 with a wire-braced tail. The Zivko Edge 540 manufactured by Zivko Aeronautics is a highly aerobatic aircraft.Capable of a 420 degree per second roll rate and a 3,700 foot per minute climb rate, it has been flown to victory on the international Unlimited aerobatics circuit several times since the mid-1990s.
The Corvus Racer 540 design was started in 2007 when Corvus Aircraft signed a contract with Red Bull to develop a new airplane for Péter Besenyei, designed especially for air racing. [1] It was designed by Andras Voloscsuk and the Hungarian University of Aviation.

The Red Bull Air Race World Championship (formerly known as the Red Bull Air Race), established in 2003 and created by Red Bull GmbH, was an international series of air races in which entrants compete to navigate a challenging obstacle course in the fastest time.
In 2018, he was promoted to the master class from the Challenger class of Red Bull Air Race. [2] In 2019, he finished 4th in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship in only his second season as a Master Class Pilot [3] He uses Zivko Edge 540 V2 (Aircraft registration: N540BM) in the air race. [4] The aircraft's liveries are Union Jack. [5]
On 23 January 2019, it was announced that Red Bull Air Race will be held in Chiba on September 7 and 8 at the Muroya's kickoff meeting held in Tokyo. The eight-event calendar for the 2019 season was announced on 29 January 2019. [4]

[22] The Red Bull Air Race is also featured as an advanced mission in Microsoft's Flight Simulator X. Additional racing missions and courses were included as part of 2007's Acceleration expansion pack.
