Gotham Writers Workshop is an adult-education program for aspiring writers based in New York City. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] Established in 1993, it offers courses in-person and online, [ 3 ] [ 2 ] and has been recognized for its classes in science fiction and mystery writing. [ 4 ]

[4] The winner and finalists' stories are forwarded to leading literary agencies. The winning story is often published in an online supplement to the magazine.
