KCBF (820 AM) is a commercial radio station airing sports programming in Fairbanks, Alaska. KCBF obtains its programming from ESPN Radio. It signed on in 1948 as KFRB on 1290 kHz. It moved to 790 kHz in 1953 then to 900 kHz in 1954. It moved to its current frequency in 1981. KCBF is the exclusive radio home to University of Alaska Nanooks hockey.
This is a list of seasons completed by the University of Alaska Fairbanks men's ice hockey team.. Alaska has made two NCAA tournament appearances in its history. However, as a result of NCAA rules violations, the berth in 2010 has been vacated and Alaska officially has never played in a Division I national tournament.
The 2024–25 Alaska Nanooks men's ice hockey season will be the 75th season of play for the program and 40th at the Division I level. The Nanooks will represent the University of Alaska Fairbanks , play their games at the Carlson Center and be coached by Erik Largen in his 6th season.

The Alaska Nanooks are the intercollegiate athletics teams that represent the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The Nanooks name is derived from the Inupiaq "nanuq", meaning polar bear. The school colors are blue and gold. [2] The Nanooks compete at the NCAA Division II level for all sports except men's ice hockey (NCAA Division I).
