The only way to get paid in South Africa via Paypal is having a FNB account AND, and I stress AND a credit card. You must register the credit card FIRST with Paypal and verify your Paypal account using this credit card. I have just gone through this exercise myself. Only then can you follow the general advice given by linking your FNB account.
