The Church Studio is a recording studio in Tulsa, Oklahoma established in 1972 by musician, songwriter, and producer Leon Russell. Located in a converted church building, the studio has since been cited as being the heart of the Tulsa Sound .
Ginther designed an alternate plan for the church trustees who had concerns about Curtin's design. All that remains of Ginther's work is a set of blueprints. The seminary began offering distance classes in Tulsa by utilizing facilities at local congregations and at the University of Tulsa in 1986. In 1987, Phillips Graduate Seminary incorporated as a freestanding institution independent of Phillips University. The board of trustees voted to change the name to Phillips Theological Seminary in 1995.
