The Australind is a currently suspended rural passenger train service in Western Australia operated by Transwa on the South Western Railway between Perth and Bunbury.. The Australind was suspended in November 2023 due to the shutdown of the Armadale line for upgrading, and pending retirement of the current rolling stock.
As operated by the WAGR, the line was 185.4 kilometres (115.18 mi) from Perth to Bunbury. [12] Since that time, the line has been shortened to 181 kilometres (112 mi) as some stations have closed, moved or been replaced by passing loops. [13] The first 30 kilometres (19 mi) of the line from Perth are served by Transperth's Armadale Line.

Bunbury station was the terminus for bus services from regional locations in the south and south west of Western Australia, to connect with the rail service to Perth. As regional railway passenger services declined, and branch lines were closed, railway bus services were put in place to replace the loss of rail access. [ 5 ]
