Justin D. Cooper is currently in his third term as President of Redeemer University College in Ancaster, Ontario. He has been working with Redeemer since 1980 in a variety of different functions. He served as a faculty member in Political Science and, from 1986 to 1994, as Vice-President (Academic), in addition to his time as President.
He then served as a theology professor at Concordia University Wisconsin from 1984 to 1998, and as chief academic officer and then full-time theology professor at Concordia University Texas from 1998 to 2022. He was integral to the founding of the Lutheran church body known as the General Synod, as well as the oldest continuously operating Lutheran seminary (Gettysburg Seminary) and college in North America (Gettysburg College).
