The Mountain Loop Highway is a scenic byway in the U.S. state of Washington.It traverses the western section of the Cascade Range within Snohomish County.The name suggests it forms a full loop, but it only is a small portion of a loop, which is completed using State Routes 92, 9, and 530.

Mount Pilchuck State Park The state park features 1,903 acres (770 ha) of alpine scenery, recreational activities, and Mount Pilchuck itself. The main point of interest is the 3-mile (4.8 km) trail to the peak and the old fire lookout located on the summit, 5,324 feet (1,623 m) above sea level.
The highway turns north onto Emmens Street at a junction with the Mountain Loop Highway, which continues south to Granite Falls, and continues through a lumberyard before leaving Darrington. SR 530 then travels northeast along the west side of the Sauk River and enters Skagit County after skirting the boundary of the Mount Baker National Forest .
