Amane Gobena Gemeda (born 11 September 1982) [1] is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who competes primarily in road running events. She has a marathon best of 2:23:50 hours.. She began her international career in cross country running and was part of the Ethiopian team which won the gold medal in the short race at the 2002 IAAF World Cross Country Championships.
