The Gulfstream Aerospace Invitational was a golf tournament on the Champions Tour from 1984 to 1993. It was played in Indian Wells, California at The Vintage Club (1981–1992) and at the Indian Wells Golf Resort (1993). The purse for the 1993 tournament was US$550,000, with $82,500 going to the winner.
It was recognized by the PGA Tour but did not count towards the official money list. It was most recently sponsored by LG and was officially known as the LG Skins Game, hosted at the Indian Wells Golf Resort in Indian Wells, California. The Skins Game differed from most PGA Tour golf tournaments in several ways.
On July 14, 1967, Indian Wells became California's 400th city and the 16th in Riverside County. Since then, Indian Wells has continued to grow, with the development of resort hotels, golf courses and luxury residential areas. [8]
