Spring Hill is a city in Maury and Williamson counties in the U.S. state of Tennessee, located approximately 30 miles (48 km) south of Nashville. Its population as of 2022 is 55,800. [ 5 ] Spring Hill is recognized as the 4th fastest growing city in Tennessee by the U.S. Census Bureau [ 8 ] and is included in the Nashville metropolitan area .

Most of the base housing is in Kentucky, the school was originally on the Kentucky side of the base, and it is operated by the Kentucky District of the U.S. Department of Defense Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools, along with all other schools on Fort Campbell and the schools on the Fort Knox base situated entirely in Kentucky.
An official funding proposal for a new high school was unveiled in March 2021. In February 2022, the Maury County School Board voted to name the new school Battle Creek High School. [ 3 ] Battle Creek High School opened on August 5, 2024, serving grades 9 and 10, with plans to become a 9–12 school for the 2026–27 school year.

Center Hill Lake has a storage capacity of 762,000 acre⋅ft (940,000,000 m 3) of water. The lake has approximately 415 mi (668 km) of shoreline, with the deepest point at 190 ft (58 m). Thorn Hill does not have a school located in the community. Students must attend school at either Washburn School (K-12), Bean Station Elementary School (K-6), Rutledge Middle School (7-8), or Grainger High School (9-12), all of which are a part of the Grainger County Schools district serviced by the Grainger County Board of Education.
