Yes, that is what I am trying to install. The instructions from Nikon only say follow the Microsoft set up instructions. But, I never get to the Microsoft instructions. I did contact Nikon tech support and they said was to install it from a folder. I had already saved it in a folder. So they were no help.
A webcam needs to be turned on all the time to be useful. The D90 shuts itself off after a while. I did a recording of a lecture. For the first recording, I managed to get a 30 minute. video (not sure why but maybe due file size limit). After that it shuts itself after 30 seconds and I had to restart it again and. again ad nauseum.
I want to use my nikon coolpix s33 as a webcam but when I plug it in it turns off and wont turn on until I unplug it, after going to device manager I see that it shows up as a portable device instead of a camera and I have tried downloading Nikon Webcam Utility too and it still doesnt work. If you know how to help I would be greatly appreciative.
Created on March 16, 2022. Nikon camera showing up as MTP Portable Device - software doesn't recognize the camera. I am running Windows 11 via Parallels on my new M1 MacBook Pro. The camera appears as a "MTP Portable Device" in my device manager under "Portable Devices." On my old windows laptop, it was always shown correctly as the "Nikon Z 6."

I'm using a Nikon d750 with a usb HD video capture device to display himself on Teams. The Nikon webcam software is not compatible my d750, so I'm using that device. My issue is sometime the format turn form 16:9 to 4:3 but not reformat the view so its squish. Is there a way to solve that in Teams. I dont see any setting in teams?
Just remove the SD card from the camera and insert it into the SD slot in your computer. If your computer doesn't have an SD slot, just get a SD-to-USB adapter for a few bucks and plug it in to a USB port on your computer.
