Aug 17, 2009. #4. my foam travel humidor tray works perfectly for this size container. one $2.99 sheet provides 2 cigar trays, plus scrap leftover to make a retainer bar for the lid. the retainer piece of foam keeps the cigars from rattling around. dont make it too big so you can see your cigars through the lid.
Does anyone know of a vendor that makes better quality foam for the 3400 model (one that holds 5 churchills)?
Basically, I took an older Xicar 60-stick travel humidor and added some modified cedar trays. Excited to travel with it. 1. It was shocking how well the Havana footlocker held humidity, the 8 oz black ice was perfect with the top tray being 72 rh, the middle tray 71 rh, and the bottom holding at 70 rh (I placed it at the bottom).
