The San Diego State Aztecs softball team is the softball program that represents San Diego State University (SDSU). The Aztecs compete in NCAA Division I as a member of the Mountain West Conference (MW).
Stacey "Nuvey" Nuveman-Deniz (born April 26, 1978) is an American softball coach and former player who is the head coach of the Bandits for the inaugural 2025 season of the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL). Previosuly, she has been the head coach of the San Diego State Aztecs softball team at San Diego State University (SDSU). [1]

The university fields 17 varsity teams (6 men's, 11 women's) in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I , primarily as a member of the Mountain West Conference ( Pac-12 Conference starting in 2026).
