Splash (sometimes stylized as Splash!) is a yearly academic outreach program by many universities that invites high school students to attend classes created and taught by students, alumni, and local community members. Splash was originated in 1988 [1] by MIT's student-run Educational Studies Program (ESP). [2]
In Splash 2019, more than two thousand students were registered with more than five hundred classes. Splash was first conducted in 1988. [12] In order to help conduct Splash events in other schools throughout the country, ESP alumni who had been involved in Splash at MIT founded Learning Unlimited in 2007.
