Bhaktapur 2 is one of two parliamentary constituencies of Bhaktapur District in Nepal. This constituency came into existence on the Constituency Delimitation Commission (CDC) report submitted on 31 August 2017.
The district, with Bhaktapur as its district headquarters, covers an area of 119 km 2 (46 sq mi) and in 2011 had a population of 304,651 [3] of whom 9,701 people were absent (mostly working abroad). [ 4 ]

Balkot (Nepali: बालकोट) is located in Bhaktapur District in the Bagmati Province of central Nepal. In 2015, it was merged with Sirutar, Gundu and Dadhikot to form Anantalingeshowr Municipality. In March 2017, under new local level restructuring, Anantalingeswor Municipality was merged with Suryabinayak Municipality. [1]
