Chapter 134 of Anushasana Parva recites Vishnu sahasranama - a list of 1,000 names (sahasranama) of Vishnu. [5] Included in the list of 1000 names for Vishnu are Shiva, Sharva, Sthanu, Ishana and Rudra. Mahabharata (Shanti Parva), Chapter 284 (Gita Press edition) also has a Shiva Sahasranama sung by Daksha to please Lord Rudra. This is not present in its complete from in the Critical Edition. This is also accepted by Traditional scholars.
