The Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP) is a facility built to destroy the chemical weapons stockpile at the Blue Grass Army Depot (BGAD), near Richmond, Kentucky. The last munition, an M55 rocket containing GB nerve agent, was destroyed July 7, 2023. It marked the last chemical weapon in the U.S. stockpile.
In 2009, Southland opened its first satellite campus in Danville, KY. In 2010, Southland purchased the former Lexington Mall and a campus opened there in January 2013. In 2015, Southland began holding services in Georgetown, KY at Lemons Mill Elementary. In 2018, Southland announced a launch of a new campus in Richmond, KY in 2020.

The original Glyndon Hotel was opened on September 20, 1889. The hotel was developed by Messrs C.D Chestnut, A.R. Burnam, Senator John Bennet, Dr. L.H. Blantou, Mr. J. Stone Walker, and Hon. W.B Smith but they were unable to complete the work of the hotel due to mortgage bonds falling short of $3,300 of completing the project.
