The Fox Engine was a proprietary game engine by Konami. [1] The engine's development began with Hideo Kojima after the completion of 2008's Metal Gear Solid 4, with the goal of making the "best engine in the world." [2] The first commercially released title to use the Fox Engine was Pro Evolution Soccer 2014.
The Fox platform, like most compact and mid-size cars of the late 1970s, was designed with a rear-wheel drive layout. In contrast to the full-size Fords and Mercurys of the time, the Fox platform used unibody construction. The Fox platform used MacPherson strut front suspension, continuing the use of a live rear axle suspension configuration. [12]
The Fox architecture uses a unibody chassis, rather than a body-on-frame design used by full-size Ford and Lincoln-Mercury vehicles). In line with other Fox-platform vehicles, the Marquis uses a front suspension of MacPherson struts with a four-link live rear axle (using coil springs).
