The Little Boone Femme and Roche Perche Creeks empty into the Missouri River at the southeastern edge of the township. Providence River access, Cooper's Landing, Eagle Bluffs, and Rock Bridge State Park are all within the township. The area contains the most extensive karst features north of the Missouri River.

Cooper County is located in the central portion of the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2020 United States census, the population was 17,103. [1] Its county seat is Boonville. [2] The county was organized December 17, 1818, and named for Sarshell Cooper, a frontier settler who was killed by Native Americans near Arrow Rock in 1814.
The district encompasses a cluster of five buildings. Oriented toward the Kenai River, but now accessible from the Sterling Highway, the district includes two residential structures (a house built out of recycled bridge timbers and a modest log cabin) built before 1910, the Cooper Landing Post Office, built in the 1910s, the c. 1925 log Riddiford School, and the c. 1946 Leo Douglas log cabin.

Located in Mid-Missouri, it consists of five counties: Boone, Audrain, Randolph, Cooper, and Howard. [2] The population was estimated at 256,640 in 2017, making it the 4th largest metropolitan area in Missouri.
