Star polygon names combine a numeral prefix, such as penta-, with the Greek suffix -gram (in this case generating the word pentagram). The prefix is normally a Greek cardinal, but synonyms using other prefixes exist. For example, a nine-pointed polygon or enneagram is also known as a nonagram, using the ordinal nona from Latin.
Pentagram. A pentagram (sometimes known as a pentalpha, pentangle, or star pentagon) is a regular five-pointed star polygon, formed from the diagonal line segments of a convex (or simple, or non-self-intersecting) regular pentagon.

The five-pointed star, if drawn with points of equal length and angles of 36° at each point, is sometimes termed a golden five pointed star. [7] If the colinear edges are joined, a pentagram is produced, which is the simplest of the unicursal star polygons , and a symbol of mystical and magical significance.
In geometry, a pentagon (from Greek πέντε (pente) 'five' and γωνία (gonia) 'angle' [1]) is any five-sided polygon or 5-gon. The sum of the internal angles in a simple pentagon is 540°. A pentagon may be simple or self-intersecting. A self-intersecting regular pentagon (or star pentagon) is called a pentagram.
Made overall area smaller. Changed the coordinates of the start to move it to the edge of top and left border. Changed actual star slightly so that numbers were all divisible by 5. 20:27, 23 November 2009: 275 × 275 (402 bytes) Crazytonyi: Added DTD declaration and converted from path element to polygon element.
