In electronics, sense is a technique used in power supplies to produce the correct voltage for a load.Although simple batteries naturally maintain a steady voltage (except in cases of large internal impedance), a power supply must use a feedback system to make adjustments based on the difference between its intended output and its actual output.
However, if voltage at each output terminal is measured with respect to ground, a non-zero voltage will appear. This is the common mode voltage (CMV), and is the same at each output terminal. The output interface then converts the electrical signal from the Hall sensor; the Hall voltage: a signal that is significant to the application context.
The operation of the Kelvin bridge is very similar to the Wheatstone bridge, but uses two additional resistors.
