Momma Named Me Sheriff is an American adult animated sitcom created by Will Carsola and Dave Stewart for Adult Swim.The show serves as a spin-off/sequel series to Mr. Pickles and focuses on Old Town's dimwitted Sheriff.
After rescuing the Sheriff with the aid of the Sheriff's elderly mother, he ended up sleeping with her. In Season 3, he attempts to teach the Sheriff how to be a man after noticing he is a mama's boy. He takes the Sheriff to a bar and treats him to a drink, but the Sheriff gets really drunk causing havoc in the bar.

"When I'm with You" was originally released as the third single off Sheriff's debut album. The song reached number eight on the RPM chart in the band's native Canada, where it was their biggest hit. In the US, it entered the Billboard Hot 100 on 14 May 1983 and peaked at number 61 four weeks later.
"You Never Even Called Me by My Name" is a song written by Steve Goodman and John Prine. Prine requested to be uncredited on the song, as he thought it was a "goofy, novelty song" and did not want to "offend the country music community". Goodman released the song on his 1971 debut album Steve Goodman to little acclaim.
