A'Lelia Walker (born Lelia McWilliams; June 6, 1885 – August 17, 1931) was an American businesswoman and patron of the arts. She was the only surviving child of Madam C. J. Walker, who was popularly credited as being the first self-made female millionaire in the United States and one of the first African-American millionaires.
When A'Lelia died in 1931 her adopted daughter Mae Walker succeeded her until her death in 1945. In turn Mae's daughter A'Lelia Mae Perry Bundles became the fourth company president. The company closed in 1981 but the 1927 building later became the Madam Walker Legacy Center. [12]

The Ohio Women's Hall of Fame was a program the State of Ohio's Department of Job and Family Services ran from 1978 [1] through 2011. The Hall has over 400 members. [2] In 2019, the Hall's physical archives and online records were transferred to the State Archives in the Ohio History Center.
