Loughborough University (abbreviated as Lough or Lboro for post-nominals) [8] [9] is a public research university in the market town of Loughborough, Leicestershire, England. It has been a university since 1966, but it dates back to 1909, when Loughborough Technical Institute was founded.

CREST is a participating university in the EUREC European Masters Program in Renewable Energy, [3] an initiative supported by the European Commission to expand the European renewable energy industry. The group is located in the Holywell Park area of the Loughborough campus, adjacent to the offices of the Energies Technology Institute (ETI).
