heute (German pronunciation: ⓘ; German for today) is a television news program on the German channel ZDF.The main program is broadcast at 19:00, and includes news, with an emphasis on political news from Germany, Europe and the world, plus 'mixed' news from cultural life or entertainment, and the sports news with an extra presenter.
Markus Lanz is a German talk show on ZDF named after the host Markus Lanz, first aired on 3 June 2008. [1] The 75-minute show airs on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. The program is recorded in a television studio in Hamburg-Altona , normally a few hours before it airs, but sometimes it is broadcast live.

In contrast to Heute, its early evening counterpart, heute-journal provides in-depth coverage of the news, usually with detailed background information and interviews with politicians, business leaders, experts, and other key people.
