The original Lion Throne at the National Museum in Yangon. The Lion Throne (also known as Sihasana or Thihathana Palin; Burmese: သီဟသနပလ္လင်, derived from Sanskrit: सिंहासन, romanized: siṃhāsana, lit. 'lion's seat, throne') is one of the eight historic thrones used by the Burmese monarchs.
The Bogyoke Aung San Museum (Burmese: ဗိုလ်ချုပ် အောင်ဆန်း ပြတိုက်), located in Bahan, Yangon, is a museum dedicated to General Aung San, the founder of modern Myanmar (Burma). Established in 1962, the two-story museum was Aung San's last residence before his assassination in July 1947.
Besides the older National Museum of Myanmar in Yangon, it is the second of the two national museums for Burmese art, history and culture in Myanmar. [1] The construction of the museum was started on 3 June 2010, and the museum was opened on 15 July 2015. [2] The museum is open from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, except on Mondays and public holidays.
