Jozef G. Bakos (1891–1977), known as Joseph Bakos, was an American painter best known for his Western landscapes. Bakos was one of Los Cinco Pintores , who worked in Santa Fe , New Mexico . Bakos studied art with John E. Thompson at the Albright Art Institute in Buffalo, New York .
Abeyta was born in Gallup, New Mexico to Navajo painter Narciso "Ciso" Platero Abeyta and Sylvia Ann, a Quaker ceramics artist. [2] He was the youngest of seven children.
