The Epic Dynasty was the proposed certified version of the LT that was intended be sold as a completed aircraft, prior to Epic Aircraft 's bankruptcy in August 2009 and later acquisition by new owners in April 2010.
Following the bankruptcy filing, Epic went up for sale. In an auction on 26 March 2010, the state-owned China Aviation Industry General Aircraft was the highest bidder with a US$4.3 million offer, beating out a bid by the LT Builders Group, a group of seven aircraft owners with incomplete aircraft in the plant.

No it didn't. The general news media seem to have misidentified the crashed aircraft. It was an Epic LT, not an E1000, see this aviation media ref. If you read this Wikipedia article, you will see that it has not been certified and has not entered service yet. - Ahunt 14:42, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
