Daichi merges with and transforms into Ultraman X using the X Devizer (エクスデバイザー, Ekusu Debaizā) ever since his encounter with Demaaga. Fifteen years prior to the series, he lost his parents during the Ultra Flare incident, thus leaving him with the Gomora Spark Doll and his mother's space communicator as their keepsakes.
