I have a low end bead roller with the 22mm shaft. It has a few dies, but these are more or less worthless for recreating the various body beads of a 30-31 Model A. For starters I'd like to create the simple (I think 3/4") bead in the quarter panel. I can't find dies any larger than 1/2" for this shaft size. Does anyone have a source for 22mm ...
Adding a new tool to the arsenal, a power Bead Roller, 18" throat, 18 gage max, etc. Any input on maximizing it's use? Do's & Don'ts ? First question, do I cut my exact perimeter THEN roll the beads or roll the beads than cut perimeter to fit location? Will the shape shrink because of rolling beads? Thanks?
The reed switch is a speed/distance sender and is not needed for a bead roller. The control board and choke removes as an assembly - unplug all the wires (take pictures and notes first) and remove 4 self-tapping sheet metal screws.

The bore size on a Harbor Freight bead roller is 22mm, 7/8" is a kinda sloppy fit. The shafts are about 1". The dies are about 2"in diameter (probably 50mm, but 2" works for me). Of course, the male part of the bead will be proportionally larger. The male die would be easiest to do with a form cutting tool.
