He was probably born around 1659. He was a Kingston goldsmith. He married Mary Elizabeth Lumbard, a 50-year-old widow, at Half Way Tree in 1705, but she died in 1717. He bought land at Stanton Street adjoining Duckenfield, in 1681 and sold it in 1727. Little else is known about him or his origin.
