DeJesus was a five-year-old American child who was kidnapped, raped and murdered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, by a Honduran national named Alexis Flores in July 2000. Her body was discovered on August 3 in the basement of a deserted apartment building where Flores is known to have resided.
