[ 4 ] The name Agua Caliente translates into English, from Spanish, as hot water , referring to the hot springs historically found in the area.
The nearby Delongha Hot Springs resort went defunct, whereas Miracle Hot Springs flourished. [4] The hotel burned down in 1975, leaving only the rock and concrete soaking pools.
