Yesterday I went from just a stack of raw lumber to a nearly completed frame. . The stand size will be 72 1/2″ long, by 18 5/8″ wide, and 30″ tall (30 1/2″ when the plywood top is factored in). The first step, of course, is getting all the tools together. Take note of what’s pictured at the top, safety glasses and ear protection.
125 Gallon Fish Tank on Wheels. I just completed a new fish tank stand that is sitting on 6 casters. They are rated for 1,500 pounds with a 10-15% overload capacity. Anyway, I have a few pictures of it during the build but have posted a few videos of it on YouTube. It's not 100% finished yet, have to put a skirt on it and put the door on, but ...

I want this tank to be all about Tetras since I like to see groups of active schooling fish. Heres my list of fish I'd like to have ...
The total cost for this project was about $125.00 (about 1/4 the cost of purchasing a similar stand). I hope this will help at least a few people here. Both tanks are the same length (48") but a 120 has more width (double, 24" versus 13") and height (about 4") to it. So you agree that there should be a sheet of plywood on ...

This is my new tank stand. It’s made for my new Marineland Bio-Wheel LED Aquarium Kit 29 Gallon (Great Kit Dr. Foster and Smith). I have had this stand in the house for 3 days, and I’m certifying Toddler and Teenager proof. Reed (my 3 year old with down syndrome) has been swinging off the top crown for 2 days waiting on some fish.
Your thinking is correct. Using 2 heaters, one at each end of the tank will also heat the water more evenly. 150 Gallon - Mostly American Cichlids. 135 Gallon - Angelfish Community. 75 Gallon - Odd couple (Polleni/Angelfish) 55 Gallon - African tank. 20 Gallon Long - QT. 10 Gallon - Empty. .

So im just looking for some tips to get headed in the right direction. Little background info on me. The tank is 125 gallons. 72" long blah blah. I am donating all my cichlids to a tank at my work so i can change my tank to a community tank. another reason im switching is so i can have live plants in the tank. My vision is to breed hundreds of guppies in this new giant tank. i saw a 40 gallon that was flooded with guppies and it was awesome.
