Here's another thread from a year ago indicating that most of those in the thread believed they'd talked to Microsoft at that same number, so I don't think it's likely you'll have any issues relating to that particular call. I got a call twice from 1 (206) 429-9176, they claim to be microsoft - Microsoft Community. Rob.
Replied on September 24, 2024. Report abuse. Just got a call from a mobile phone number about this as well, so seems like this scam is still alive and ongoing. If anyone from MS cares/wants to take action, the scammer's phone number was +6010-5821625 (MY number, as I'm based in MY). PB.

These kind of pop-ups are fake alerts, trying to scam you into buying needless services/products. Never ever call those phone numbers or fill in passwords etc. If you can't close your browser in a normal way: Open Task Manager (press Ctrl + Shift + Esc on your keyboard) and in the tab Processes end all browser processes.
