But the JHU name still opens doors. And JHU is known for academic rigor and grade deflation. Meanwhile, Harvard is known for rampant grade inflation. Go to the school where you feel most comfortable and feel that you have the best chance of success. That's the school that will get you furthest in life. 6.

I think jhu is a good school if u plan to go to grad school like law school or med school or phd. But if you wanna go right to industry, you’ll have to work harder than people at similar caliber schools. This is just a list based on personal preferences, a con for me may be a pro for you. Imo Hampden and area north to campus is safer than Charles village (especially pass 25th and Calvert. I just feel like most of the crime report are over there). Btw car insurance is a lot more expensive in 21218 than 21211 which kind of tells. Med campus is okay if you stay within the complex area. Baltimore wise the restaurant/bar area (Harbor ...

The blatant disregard for student safety, equity, and wellbeing is not unique to Hopkins, but it definitely seems more hypocritical given it is the #1 "public health university." Your own effort. The worst semester for me was my freshman fall, where all I did was study then watch anime once I finished studying.

I recently applied and got accepted to Johns Hopkins' online Space Systems Engineering Masters of Science program. The thing is, compared to every other of the 6 schools I applied to, all for online programs, the application was the simplest. It was the only one that didnt require letters of recommendation or a statement of purpose.

  11. Why is Hopkins culture the way it is? : r/jhu - Reddit

I think JHU culture is kind of passive/melancholy because that's just the type of school JHU is. We don't have a strong frat/sorority scene and sports isn't very big here either; the majority of people are probably more introverted. Diversity isn't great here and in my short experience most people group together based on a shared background.
