OLX is full of scammers from West Bengal and Assam and the surrounding areas. These scammers impede the development of a would-be tech-savvy society. Even fucking OLX doesn’t list out rules that only cash payments should be done when the dealing persons meet each other physically at a public place and that not to share your contact number.
OLX died way before rebranding to dubbizle. It died back in 2019 ish We had a business running off of OLX. It was a great tool to help us find customers. The fraudsters are active again on OLX. (Allah ese logon ko ibrat naak azab de, aameen) This is how they operate. Post an ad near you. Contact ONLY on whatsapp. Send you pictures of product. They will avoid video call. They will send you picture/video of product being shipped on local cargo bus. They will avoid sharing proper receipt.
Generally safe. Of course you can get an idiot who will sell you a brick instead of new iPhone, but the risk is the same as with all online shopping sites. The sender gets money when you receive a package, so no worries about paying and getting nothing sent. Always buy with olx shipment, it is a safe option.
Avoid OLX as much as you can. One good alternative for second hand products is The FB marketplace. I've sold and bought a few items and everytime the seller/buyer was genuine. OLX on the other hand is filled with Scammers.

This OLX seller is a fraud. So I found this guy on OLX. He is in Chiniot as per OLX description. Just posting it here to please be careful if you are dealing with him or will in the future. What happened is that I prepaid him (Stupid of me I know) and have not received the it yet.
