Sudama Pandey "Dhoomil" (9 November 1936 – 10 February 1975) was an Indian poet who wrote in Hindi.He is known for his revolutionary writings and his "protest-poetry" along with Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh.
He wrote the first major Prabandha, a form of fictional poetry in Telugu, and for this reason, he is revered as Andhra Kavita Pitamahudu (the grand father of Telugu poetry). It is believed that he was also a minister in the king's court and is hence sometimes referred as Peddanaamaatyudu ( Sandhi : Peddana + Amaatyudu = Peddana, the minister).
His books of poetry include The Violent West (1972), A Memory of Asia (1984) and Selected Poems. He wrote short stories, novels and five books of literary criticism. Ghose's poems, including those in The Loss of India (1964), Selected Poems (1991), and 50 Poems (2010), are often about the travels and memories of a self-aware alien.
