Ammunition, also known as ammo, is the material fired, scattered, dropped, or detonated from any weapon or weapon system. [1] The term Ammunition includes both expendable weapons (e.g., bombs , missiles , grenades , land mines ), and the component parts of other weapons that create the effect on a target (e.g., bullets and warheads ).
The projectiles part in flight but are held in formation by tethers that keep the individual parts of the "bullet" from flying too far away from each other. The intention of such ammo is to increase hit chance by giving a shot-like spread to rifled slug firing guns, while maintaining a consistency in shot groupings.

They were packed 10 cartons per cardboard box (500 rounds) and there were 20 boxes per wooden crate. Gross Weight: 85 lbs. Volume: 0.7 Cubic Feet.
Many of these vendors were able to obtain ammunition in bulk and sell at an exorbitant price. The increase in gray market sales fed public suspicion that government was intervening with ammo supply, since ammo that was once easy to come by was now barren. [citation needed] The shortage resulted in adverse consequences for law enforcement agencies.
