Faisal bin Fahd was born in 1945 [1] as the eldest son of King Fahd. [2] His mother, Al Anoud bint Abdulaziz bin Musaid, was from the Al Jiluwi branch of the Al Saud whose members intermarried with the members of the House of Saud. [1] [3] She was the younger sister of one of Prince Sultan's spouses.
Fahd is the son of former Crown Prince Muqrin bin Abdul-Aziz [8] and Noura bint Ahmed Almuqrin, [9] and a brother of Prince Turki bin Muqrin bin Abdulaziz and Prince Mansour bin Muqrin. [10] His son, Faisal bin Fahd, has been deputy governor of Hail since 2018. [11]

Muhammad bin Fahd married Jawaher bint Nayef bin Abdulaziz, with whom he had six children: Prince Turki (born 1979), Prince Khaled (born 1984), Prince Abdulaziz (born 1991), Princess Nouf (born 1975), Princess Noura (born 1981) and Princess Mashael (born 1988).
