The United States Nordic Combined Championships is a Nordic Combined competition held annually since 1932 to crown the national champions of the United States. [1] The Paul Nash Layman, Jr. award is presented to each champion since 1941. [2] The Harry Wade Hicks award is presented for the highest point scorer in the combined regardless of class.

In addition to the individual competitions, each race doubles as a team competition in which the finishing positions of the top three athletes from each country are combined, with the lowest scoring national team winning. At the championships the years 1997-2019 performances of the top four athletes was used for the men's senior team race. [5]
